Beautiful day outside.

Strange day inside.

A man, we don't know if he's a student or not (though we do know he's a little off) has some of the work study students (and myself, AND some professors) a little worried. More about that at a later time. Let's just say, I'm cutting out early today.

Here, to make me, and yourself feel better, read a great piece about Jerry Remy. If you don't know who RemDawg is, carry on.

Not really spoilery!
The Office: was pretty damn funny. I enjoyed. BUT THE CHEESEBALLS WAS THE BESTEST EVAR PART!
30 Rock: was also tres amusing. The bit about wanting to know what was on Frank's hat? Classic.
Parks and Recreation: was better than last week. I really shouldn't laugh so hard at a bit about pedophiles though.
(last week's) Dollhouse: What the what?!?! DeWitt, wha... wha... Domenic... DISCUSS IN COMMENTS!
House: Nope, still haven't watched! BWAH!
Rescue Me: I'll get to it at SOME point...

Off to Fenway!

Today will be a good day. I will write half of a final paper. I will have a delicious salad for lunch. I may or may not wander around Downtown Crossing just because I can. What's more, [info]csinut214 will be stopping tonight and we'll (most likely) be playing an abundance of Mario Kart and eating delicious food and drinking delicious beverages. So yeah, tonight will be a great night.

So, sometimes... I'm a bad lj-er. I don't check my f'list to the fullest extent, don't follow links that I should, etcetera. Well, yesterday when I was bopping around [info]eoshippers reading fic and I stumbled upon one by the amazing, talented, gorgeous [info]fated_addiction called "fingers dipped in midnight oil". Annnnnnnnd then I felt like an ass because she wrote it for me and I never read it. AND IT WAS TWO YEARS AGO! So, maybe you can all help me relieve me of this cloud of guilt and go and read it. It is-like all of her fic-gorgeous and right on point.

Thursday night television makes me tres happy, most of the time! )

Oh hey, Sarah Michelle Gellar is preggers! And yes, she's still married to Freddie Prinze Jr.! I actually asked someone if they were still together last week... AND THEY ARE!

And so, last night, on WDHD, Boston's NBC affiliate, they kept airing "spoilers" for the upcoming newscast about a Boston landmark that marks the skyline and would be altered in order to save money. Naturally, Lori, Sam and I freaked, thinking they were talking about the Citgo sign. (If you don't know what the Citgo sign is, you're probably not a Sox fan and have probably never visited our fair city, so, here you go.

Anyway, turns out they were just talking about the Turnpike Authority attempting to save mula by cutting the electricity to the Zakim Bridge. All I'm saying is that when it's time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs... that bridge had BEST be lit yellow.

AND HOW IN THE HELL IS THE T STILL CUTTING SERVICE?!?! They've already been pulling buses off of routes with no warning to customers, cutting green line trains... and now they want to get rid of weekend service on the commuter rail!? Are you serious!? No commuter rail trains after 7 on WEEKDAYS!?!? Are you... fucking serious!?!? GAH THIS T NONSENSE IS DRIVING ME BATTY! )

Lori cut my hair last night; did I mention that Sam got Lori a banjo for her birthday? Yeah, Lori's now a BANJO player. What?!

[info]michellek That got your attention, heh. I think you should write a fic based on the car ride up to Connecticut. I think that would be balls...

By now, most of you know, Pushing Daisies was canceled. I'm pretty saddened by this because it was brilliant and adorable and had wonderful cinematography. DAMN IT ALL!

CSI: That's what she said! )

The Office )

30 Rock!!! )

Survivor )

South Park was brilliant and hilarious, as was one Ms. Sarah Silverman, but when is she not? Right? And for all of you Dr. Who fans, Christopher Eccleston was on last night's ep, spoofing Dr. Who.

And here's the new X-Files comic series. Does NOT look promising.

And I had to edit this to add: Batman and Joker PSA shorts. Hilarity.

Happy 11/21 everyone!

Well, our stellar mass transit systems suffered another hiccup this morning; there was yet another collision at Boylston. This time, people had to be evacuated from the train and walk through the subway tunnel to get out. Luckily, I had been at the office for, oh, about an hour and a half when it happened. Though Krisela had to walk over here from Copley and Alex had to hoof it from Arlington. (I know, this means nothing to most of you...)

My question is, if this is the locale for several MBTA accidents, why hasn't it been fixed yet? This is-if I recall correctly-the fourth incident at that particular station in a year and a half.

Very minor spoilage about The Office, 30 Rock and one blip of a squee for next week's CSI )

Okay, and here's the thing. This might be totally failboat, but we're having a Holiday Hoedown over at [info]eoshippers. It's a super easy thon, you sign up and can write fic or make mixes or graphics or do a picspam or a meta... this is just really selfish of we mods over there who want to see some Elliot/Olivia loving.

SO GO SIGN UP!
OR I WILL TOTALLY
CUT YOU!

What did I do last eve instead of watching The Office or CSI? I watched Arrested Development, for four hours. It just... it just felt like the right thing to do. I feel a little bad that I forgot how FUCKING AMAZING that show is.

Now, let's talk spoilage!

Let's talk 'The Office'! )

Let's talk 'CSI' and why Catherine shops at Tellos! )

Let's talk '30 Rock' and how much Hulu is awesome! )

Let's talk 'Entourage'! )

Also, Jeffrey Tambor is stalking me. My rediscovery of 'Arrested Development' and then 'CSI' and 'Entourage'!?!? Not gonna lie, hope he continues to make cameos on my other shows.
