Rants and the like, again
Well, [info]geekfiction is two years old. These years are the worst, the terrible twos... :::shakes it off::: I'm so glad that so many people have sought it out and posted stories. And I gotta give my thanks to [info]velocityofsound for pretty much everything she's done. And I must also thank [info]miss_andromache(snugs and also, I swear I'll get that package out on Monday, SWEAR!!!) and [info]no1_antielitist and mods of the past for everything they've done to make GF what it is today. :)

Randomly, here's one of my favorite pictures from break... because I love it.

After reading the spoilers for the upcoming Grissomless episodes I'm not at all thrilled. Not to say that I was happy about the prospect before but after seeing how they're writing Catherine (all authoritative and douchey) I can't be happy. The fact that there's a doppleganger case with Warrick involved (Butterflied much) and Cath sorta replacing Warrick with Keppler makes me angry.

Which sucks, because I'm a big fan of Liev.

And from what I saw on YouTube Sara. Looked. Horrible.

Moving on to House... umm... Chase and Cameron fucking again? Uh, did I stumble into Days of Our Lives? Kill me now because that storyline was HORRENDOUS the first time around. Well, it was hot, but NOT a good storyline.

And I swear to god, if David Shore doesn't FINALLY effin decide WHO each character is going to be (I.E. Foreman is a dick to Cam one day and the next they're BFFL!!!) I don't think I can watch anymore. It's like they're all bipolar, have multiple personalities and meet each other for the FIRST time every day and THEN choose how to react to each other. RAWR.

House's disregard for other human beings no longer strikes me as misanthropic but simply... tired. I'm tired of it, it's just not interesting anymore. Like... um... at ALL.

And Tritter just needs to be gone. He was interesting for the first episode and then :::snore::: Oh! You can psychoanalyze House too? You're so DIFFERENT and FRESH and not like EVERY PATIENT House has EVER had the displeasure of tending to.

And Scrubs... not liking the "Kim leaving" story arc. Meh, it's just meh. Would you REALLY let your preggers girlfriend leave for four months? You'd be cool with that, JD? No, me thinks not, not if this was season four.

But Dr. Cox being House was just fantastic. Just awesome.

Wait! Office! Pam and Roy were a LITTLE too chummy for my liking. But Dwight was cute. Heh.

Ummm also, I find it really strange that I'm going to have my own office. How should I decorate it? ;) Any suggestions?

But yeah, I hope everyone had a fantastic new year and... oh yeah, how was the last performance of the play? Anything outstanding?

(Saturday, Boston, January 6th saw me wearing cutoffs and flip flops... what? Strange but, oddly nice. )

No clue how you should decorate your office, but yay for having an office!

Yay for an office, I suppose. It's just so odd. Meh, I like the idea of a cooler with beer beneath the desk. ;)

House's disregard for other human beings no longer strikes me as misanthropic but simply... tired.

*nods*

It's wearing very thin. They need to wrap up the Tritter storyline and get on with interesting cases and a little less overdramatic growth for House. I'm just cringing when I watch these days.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: PapiManny[info]scullyseviltwin on January 7th, 2007 05:45 pm (UTC)
It's getting to the point where almost willing to just skip it and check out someone's meta, prolly [info]starhawk2005 because she's HILLLLARRIOUS and then decide if it's worth downloading.

I'm cringing watching House be such a DICK without reason. It doesn't HOOK me anymore, it's not intriguing at all. He's just a belligerent douchebag for no reason now. Meh.

MEH!

Office? Decoration? Does this mean the interview went well? If so, congratulations!! Decorations...well, I'm in tropical mode right now, so a palm tree, sand on the floor, cooler of cold brews by your computer.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: SaraShower[info]scullyseviltwin on January 7th, 2007 05:48 pm (UTC)
Well, see the interview was sort of a formality because the department already decided that they wanted me. And I think I would have "passed" the interview with anything short of taking off my pants and doing the can-can. (Or would that have scored me MORE points?)

Maybe I shouldn't be talking about it until I get the official call. I might be dooming myself writing about it. I tend to do that with relationships too. I get too into em, talk about em too much and :::TANK!:::

I like the way you're thinking (You reminded me of Old School, "Wall to wall sand... I know a great sand guy... Sand? Or foam... whatever!!!) And also the idea about the beer is really fantastic but something tells me that a university would frown upon that.

:)

Yay for having an office! And yay for freakishly warm winters!

And wait, there's another doppleganger case? o_O ::runs off to check spoilers::
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Mulder Scully Carnival[info]scullyseviltwin on January 7th, 2007 05:49 pm (UTC)
I think so... I mean I was just skimming the ones for Redrum (really original title, right?) and it said something about that.

Yay for freakishly long winters? Yay and... :::is scared::: I'm thinking about starting a doomsday cult. [info]mawlinsjay is going to mix the Hi-C (not Kool Aid, that shit is SOOOO over) and it's going to be that Ecto Cooler stuff that they had in the late 80's/early 90's after Ghostbusters came out.

Wanna join?
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Tommy[info]scullyseviltwin on January 7th, 2007 06:16 pm (UTC)
Also, that would be [info]ericjay

I suck.

:)
gsrblackrose86[info]gsrblackrose86 on January 7th, 2007 07:13 pm (UTC)
Oooh, I get it now. I got the impression she was just comparing Catherine to Grissom in Butterflied. I hope so, anyway.

And I definitely want to join! It's gobal warming, I swear...

Oh, and you mentioning Kool-Aid completely reminded me of the Dane Cook "Not So Kool-Aid" sketch, aka comedic BRILLIANCE.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Tek[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 01:53 am (UTC)
"Oh yeah!"

"Oh no! You clean that up before my dad gets home... he's gonna beat me with a belt!"

I don't know why Dr. Cox doesn't think that Dane's hilarious. Because uh... he totally is.

It really is because of global warming. And lately, yes, I'm actually frightened.

Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: John Malcovich[info]scullyseviltwin on January 7th, 2007 06:17 pm (UTC)
Ummmm yeah. Foreman's looking for them... and neither of them are to be found... and they reappear and her hairs all BLAMMO and neither of them are wearing their labcoats anymore.

Go look at the spoilers Sam posted on YTDAW. Swear to god.

BLECH!

Also, we find out that House and Cuddy fucked in the past. Oh joy of joys. Blech again.

Why must they do this to us? WHY?
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Mule[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 01:54 am (UTC)
It's like David Shore is trying to one-up himself in suckiness. Though I must admit that I LOVED the scene where Cam was tending to his injured arm.

That was touching.

And the fact that he cut himself, freaky and... interesting... dare I say.
This Princess is in another castle: Too Perky For Words[info]princessrini on January 7th, 2007 06:19 pm (UTC)
Huzzah for offices! I'm thinking a torture chamber, ya know to discourage the repetitive asking of ignoramus-like questions. The expression that guy (in blue) has killz. KILLZ I say! I am less than impressed with much television as of late. Like supremely unimpressed. Meh. Maybe I'm just fickle. Or under-caffeinated.

And WTF is up with winter in this country. I'm sweating my ass off (its almost 80 here, norm for Jan is 50-60) and my SO is freezing his balls off in AZ. And you, in shorts? In Boston? THIS MAKES NO SENSE!
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Ray and Venkman[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 01:57 am (UTC)
Ohhh, a torture chamber ala old school Addams Family. That would be hellah sick. The rack... thumb screws... all that nonsense.

You can NEVER, EVER have too much caffeine. This is coming from the girl who drank like 6 Red Bulls in three hours and stayed up for thirty-six hours... feeling like my veins were singing to me.

Winter isn't even winter. Which makes me sad. But the nice weather is also nice. So I can't decide if I'm really upset or what I am here.

Freezing, in AZ? What? WHAT!?!

I agree on some of your points about House, but I will keep watching. I can't just turn off my love of Hugh. I can't and I am not so bothered by Chase and Cam hooking up. If your going to have a fuck buddy, why not go back to the person you didn't suck at it. House is my top show and I will go down with the ship if need be.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Gillian[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 02:02 am (UTC)
I still watch House and I think the acting is brilliant, it's the writing that leaves so effing much to be desired.

I think the writers just aren't doing SO many things the justice they deserve. RAWR.

I got the grease monkey one, but the other link took me to a script that redoes the update screen to look like the old one...?

No?

Yes! Sorry!

Two for the price of one.

And I like your new layout!

Yeah, I'm still hellah confused. I installed the script and all it did was change the screen...

The grease monkey one should have given you the tool bar you were looking for! Hmmm, I'll look at it again tonight. Not sure why that did not work for you :(

Rawr. I'm going to the post office tomorrow. TOMORROW.

Also, Gary Sinise is on a buncha billboards all over Boston for some watch.

I tried to figure out a way to steal one... but I can't get arrested. Sorry.

er... new to house this season and catching up via DVDs... please do not tell me that cameron and chase have a thing? that is just yick.

even as a newcomer to the show, i agree with you about the inconsistency of the characters... it has me thoroughly confused...

and i'm also depressed w/ csi

hrm... oh, tv shows, what is happening to you!

and if i ever get my ass in gear, i will be sending you a pretty little note, perhaps with belated new years confetti with which you can decorate your office floor...

Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Mulder Home[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 02:05 am (UTC)
Well they don't really have a THING... but... whatever, you'll see in time. ;)

I don't think that ANYONE who watches CSI, regardless of who they ship, is happy with what's been happening.

Ohhhh pretty notes are pretty. :D
barenakedrachel[info]barenakedrachel on January 7th, 2007 11:56 pm (UTC)
and it is warm as hell here, too... won't stop raining. this isn't freakin' seattle...

i'm a bit worried about all of this - my family from when i was an exchange student in finland wrote this christmas and said it snowed in november but now it's all melted and that there is flooding in southern sweden due to all the melting snow... i can imagine finland or sweden w/out oodles of snow this time of year. that's just plain freaky.

here's to your doomsday cult ::chink, chink:: (sloshes hi-c all over)
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: 10 Things[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 02:08 am (UTC)
Yeah, it's legit freaking me out. Weather all over the place is whacked out. There's gonna be like a giant hail storm in April and we're all gonna die.

Ummm... could you clean up the Hi-C please? I don't want people to slip and kill themselves before they have a chance to kill themselves.
barenakedrachel[info]barenakedrachel on January 8th, 2007 05:05 am (UTC)
lol :-) sure, no problem ::mops up mess:: thanks to the handy swiffer, no one will slip and kill themselves on my hi-c spillage. now we can all look forward to the giant hail storm ;-)

love the icon, btw!
e.k.: csi - sara o rly?[info]ashiya on January 8th, 2007 01:03 am (UTC)
Yay for offices! :D Congrats!

I've been totally balking on watching House because I seriously do not like Tritter. And the whole Cam/Chase thing? Yeah, not good. Just because they're two very pretty people doesn't mean anything. GUH.

And CSI spoilers are driving me batty. Did you see the vids on that website? INSANE and totally WTF-inducing.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Josh KingCorn[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 02:09 am (UTC)
I need to know the whole pops story, and I need to know his reaction. :P

Tritter. Fucking. Sucks. His voice is now annoying the shit out of me. But the Chase/Cam secks is hot. HOT... I just... it's not right. NOT RIGHT, I SAY!

I know, those vids were BLAH! And Sara looked like she wiped down her face with a vat of bacon grease. BLECH!

Or like it was really humid out.

Meh, I'd still do her.
Kay: [house] - you bet i do[info]velocityofsound on January 8th, 2007 04:09 am (UTC)
A) LOL, make me feel guilty because I was going to catch up the tags tonight but then got too lazy. I RULE.

B) House has been blowing ass lately. It's totally on notice. I'm watching VM from now on, and I'll catch up on anything that doesn't suck.
Bob Loblaw's Law Blog: Grief and VD[info]scullyseviltwin on January 8th, 2007 04:33 am (UTC)
Guilt trips aren't my style, but if you're feeling guilty then... bonus... I guess? Sure... :::is confused:::

Also, I watched VM with Mel when she was here and DIZZAM I loved that snark. It was FANTASTIC.

I'll still be watching House because I really wanna make out with Cuddy can't give up that easily. You're talking to the girl who SUFFERED through seasons 8 & 9 of XF just because it was X-Files.

Scrubs however, the other night... so worth the download to see Cox make fun of House. Oh so good. ;)
